Rock & Blues

ROCK IS ATTITUDE AND TONE. YOUR FINGERS NEED THAT ATTITUDE. YOUR GUITAR/AMP NEED THAT TONE.

  • Control the basics like chords and beginner songs

  • Master the fretboard: Learn your scales, know your positions.

  • Integrate the scales and chords in a musical and improvisational context.

  • Learn to lead a band or play with others.

  • Explore tabs or notation: Learn to read music and explore independently.

2

Acoustic Campfire

ACOUSTIC CAMPFIRE TUNES ARE OLDIES AND GOLDIES, ROMANTICS AND CASUAL STRUMMERS ARE WELCOME.

  • Learn how to maintain consistent tone and the easiest and efficient way to play chords, pick, and strum.

  • Next we can explore reading tabs, notes and learning songs from playback and playing with others (singers or a band).

  • We can keep it purely practical and build your techniques and explore trickier tunes – we can delve into the theory of chord progressions, how to write harmonically beautiful chords changes etc.

3

Classical Guitar

METHODICAL CLASSICAL GUITAR TRAINING. BEGINNER TO ADVANCED.

  • Most of my teaching literature is digitally scanned and available for all classical music skill levels. Royal Conservatory of Music training resources also available.

  • We can combine theory and practical lessons; or for those who rely on tabs, we can learn classical guitar with tabs and playback.

  • Royal Conservatory of Music guitar grade training also offered.

  • Learn ear training/sight singing (solfege), theory, harmony and sight reading, yay!
